Having lived in both Ukraine and the UK for significant periods, Inesa has a deep understanding of both cultures and the challenges faced by those navigating life between them. Since the Russian invasion of Ukraine in 2014 and the full-scale war in 2022, she has been actively supporting displaced Ukrainians in the UK through practical, administrative and emotional support.
Fluent in Ukrainian, English and Russian, she is able to help people across cultures and languages. Born in Ukraine, Inesa moved to London (UK) in 1999 and came to faith in 2010. For the past year, she has been a member of Elmstead Baptist Church in Bromley (UK), where she volunteers in children’s ministry and as part of the welcoming team.
Previously, for nearly 15 years, she was part of London Bible Church, an Eastern European fellowship, serving as a Safeguarding Officer, Sunday School teacher and administrator for the church’s community language school. Inesa has over 14 years of experience supporting adults with learning needs and disabilities, including employability coaching, access to funding, and learning support.
She currently works in higher education, supporting disabled and neurodivergent students to overcome barriers to learning. She holds a teaching qualification and a degree in Business, and is currently pursuing a Master’s degree in Psychology.
Inesa has been married to Volodymyr for 20 happy years, and together they have two wonderful children. She is privileged to share her skills and experience in support of DHM’s mission to serve vulnerable people in Ukraine and to help restore their hope and dignity.
